Assistant Vice President, Financial Accountant
Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements including Head Office reporting (J-GAAP, US-GAAP, BASEL III), regulatory reports and variance analysis
- Produce monthly management accounts and perform month-end closing activities
- Perform daily account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unusual items
- Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
- Implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant regulations
- Support ad hoc projects and assignments as required
Job Requirements:
- University degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting with ability to work independently
- Solid expertise in treasury accounting and global markets products, including FX and derivatives
- Strong analytical skills and sound business acumen
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven and self-motivated
