Business/Function Overview:

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the hourly Maintenance staff, coordinating resources to support day-to-day needs of the site, and driving the preventative maintenance programs. This role will be engaged in safe work permit processes and ensuring all jobs are executed in compliance with life critical standards and proper permitting, as needed. In addition, this role will develop and update procedures, lead and assist with capital projects, and develop capability in the organization by working on training of employees. This role will report to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision of the hourly maintenance organization, ensuring the team is working safely and efficiently.
  • Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to mechanics & electricians as needed.
  • Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices in SAP and the CMMS.
  • Lead and assist with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs
  • Inspect the quality of performed maintenance work, as required
  • Monitor status of jobs to ensure they are executed on time, on budget, and without compromising safety
  • Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of Asset Integrity program and maintain Critical Equipment Lists
  • Lead process controls discipline for the site, provide guidance and establish strong relationship with local and corporate process controls network team across the company.
  • Ensure compliance with FMC cyber security standard for control systems.
  • Lead Alarm Management related activities at the site.
  • Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors as needed
  • Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment, including capital project leadership and support.
  • Actively participate in PHA/RCA/MOC and auditing
  • Authorize SWP/LOTOV/Line Break/ Elevated work Permits for maintenance, operations, and contractors
  • May act as Subject Matter Expert for FMC Formulation & Packaging sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering preferred
  • Minimum three years in manufacturing operations with specialty chemical, pharmaceutical or food additive plant experience highly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising in a union environment highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with PLCs and process control systems
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS, especially related to business systems
  • Certifications or in-depth experience with electrical safety standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and task completion dates, with strong time management
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Result driven and self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to initiate process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large amount of data in an organized manner, with high accuracy, and perform analysis
  • Detail, deadline and customer service oriented, with the ability to integrate information to accurately understand and apply to an overall procedure and/or process.

Compensation: $90k to $120k
