Data Visualization & Analytics Engineer (m/f/d)
Primary Objective
Drive the site’s data and AI journey by transforming complex data into actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making across operations, growth, and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities aligned with site and functional priorities.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical evaluations, and data mining to generate actionable business insights.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and other analytical experiments to assess process improvements and feature changes.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through validation activities and close collaboration with data engineers and the global data ecosystem.
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of analytical and machine learning models.
Visualization & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reporting solutions that provide near real-time operational and business insights.
- Create intuitive and impactful visualizations that effectively communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure data visualization standards, governance, and reporting integrity are aligned with global frameworks and best practices.
Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
- Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to integrate analytics solutions into a unified data ecosystem.
- Promote standardization, scalability, and best practices across analytics and visualization initiatives.
- Drive data literacy and foster a data-driven mindset across the organization.
- Support the definition and execution of analytics and visualization roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Contribute within agile delivery frameworks, including SAFe methodologies where applicable.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline; alternatively, equivalent professional experience in analytics or data science.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python; familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript is considered an advantage.
- Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, including strong data storytelling capabilities.
- Exposure to no-code / low-code platforms such as Dataiku, DataRobot, or Power Automate.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality management, and enterprise data standards.
- Experience working in agile environments; familiarity with SAFe is preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset with solid understanding of data metrics, user behavior analysis, and experimentation methodologies (e.g. A/B testing).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations and actionable insights.
- Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional and international teams.
- Experience in operationalizing analytical solutions and driving continuous improvement.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and service-focused working style.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation
For this important and responsible position, the collective agreement minimum monthly salary is EUR 4,270.14 gross on a full-time basis, according to the Collective Agreement for the Chemical Industry.
Please note that this amount represents the collective agreement minimum salary. The actual salary will of course be individually agreed based on qualifications, experience and scope of responsibility.
