About the role
You Are:
As an experienced AWS/DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud environments as part of a data broker modernization effort for military medical situational awareness.
The Work:
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and operations in air-gapped or restricted network environments
- Utilize a strong Linux background, hands-on AWS experience, and proven DevOps practices to support secure, mission-critical systems
Here’s What You Need
- Active Secret clearance required
- Must be willing to work onsite 2-3x per week in Falls Church, VA
- 4+ years of experience with Linux (Red Hat, CentOS or Oracle Linux preferred), Python, AWS and git experience
- 3+ years of experience with DevOps (configuration management (Ansible preferred), application deployment, and security
- Strong experience with AWS core services
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- CompTia Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 compliant certificate
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working in a federal or public sector environment
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty or equivalent
- Experience in delivering, securing and managing container-based applications
- Experience working on Agile Software Teams
- Experience in supporting DoD customers in a technical environment
- Experience with government cloud solutions (AWS, Azure etc.)
