Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Analyst Applications (Senior Lead Web App Senior Developer) to join our Applications Development & Intelligence Automation -CAT IT Division.

The incumbent would  lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable web applications. They are responsible for writing clean, efficient code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. Key requirements include deep expertise in JavaScript/CSS/HTML, modern frameworks, and strong skills in database management (SQL/NoSQL) and API development

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore PSN office, KA-India

What you will do 

• Application Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex, secure, and responsive web applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead projects, define technical requirements, and mentor junior developers through code reviews, training, and guidance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend teams to implement features and optimize user experience.
• Performance & Debugging: Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure the application is optimized for speed and responsiveness.
• Code Quality & Maintenance: Maintain code integrity, organization, and documentation to support long-term maintainability.

What you will have  

• 10+ proven work experience as a Senior Web Developer or similar role (typically 5+ years).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven portfolio of deployed Android/iOS applications
• This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office
• Shift Timing- 01:00-10:00PM IST(EMEA Shift)

Desired skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Framework Experience: Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Ruby, Python, PHP).
• Database Management: Proficiency in SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• Tools & Security: Strong understanding of Git version control, RESTful APIs, and web security best practices.

• Utilizes automated diagramming tools to ensure traceability of requirements.

System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

• Designs and develops applications or technology interfaces and bridges.
• Documents existing best practices for system or technology integration processes.
• Identifies and quantifies risks of proposed alternatives to a system or technology integration initiative.
• Delivers training on major issues, interfaces, considerations and potential pitfalls and risks.
• Discusses with line areas on data, technology and application integration issues.
• Advises others in how to integrate projects across multiple technologies.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

• Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input, output and storage channels or devices.
• Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.
• Supervises the testing of complex, multi-platform and distributed applications.
• Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.
• Coaches end users on the development of test data and test scenarios for system validation.
• Manages the execution of test plans, including resources, strategies, schedules, processes and tools.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
