Position Overview
Newsweek is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive direct advertising and sponsorship revenue within the healthcare ecosystem. This role will focus on selling integrated marketing solutions, including webinars, newsletters, custom content, lead generation programs, sponsorships, and digital advertising opportunities to healthcare providers, hospital systems, health technology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, healthcare consultancies, and related B2B brands.
The ideal candidate is a consultative seller with 5–8 years of experience developing and closing complex partnerships. They should have a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and experience managing B2B driven sales processes while building long-term client relationships.
This role requires a strong understanding of B2B marketing and demand generation, with the ability to position Newsweek's solutions as drivers of measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable selling performance-oriented programs designed to generate qualified leads, accelerate pipeline, support account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives, and influence revenue growth for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business revenue through proactive prospecting and relationship development within the healthcare and hospital sectors.
- Sell integrated marketing programs including:
- Sponsored webinars and virtual events
- Newsletter sponsorships
- Lead generation programs
- Content marketing solutions
- Digital media and display advertising
- Thought leadership campaigns
- Custom research and audience programs
- First-party data and audience targeting solutions
- Respond to and manage inbound and outbound RFP opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with marketing decision-makers, healthcare executives, agency partners, and procurement teams.
- Develop strategic account plans and multi-channel proposals aligned with client objectives.
- Collaborate with editorial, audience, marketing, and production teams to deliver successful B2B client programs.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of marketing funnels, lead qualifications, pipeline development, and revenue attribution.
- Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, marketing challenges, and competitive developments.
