Sitreps Talent is the largest community of veterans in business in the United States and a boutique recruiting firm specializing in "Business Operators" — high-intellect, high-energy leaders for two sectors: Defense Technology and Private Equity (Home Services & Industrial).

Since 2019, we've built a platform reaching nearly 200,000 followers and subscribers, generating tens of millions of impressions monthly, and maintaining a resume database of 5,000+ veterans who have expressed interest in private-sector careers. Our clients include defense technology startups and unicorns as well as PE-backed blue-collar roll-ups.

We don't recruit entry-level talent. Our placements are mid-career professionals — typically former military officers with MBAs from top business schools and 2–3 years of post-MBA experience at firms like McKinsey, BCG, Deloitte, or in investment banking and high-growth tech operations.

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Demand for our services is outpacing our capacity. Our platform advantage means we draw talent to roles rather than relying primarily on cold outreach — when we publish a search across our network, we typically generate dozens of qualified inbound candidates within days. We need a recruiter to help us screen that inbound volume, run targeted outbound sourcing when needed, and keep our pipeline moving at the speed our clients expect.

Our founding team will continue to own client relationships, intake, candidate coaching, and closing. Your job is sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates — with mentorship and support from the founding team as you ramp up on our verticals, candidate profiles, and processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Screen and vet inbound candidates via phone and video, assessing them against specific profile requirements for each search.

  • Run outbound sourcing campaigns as needed for searches with specific geographic or professional requirements.

  • Learn and apply our filtering criteria to evaluate candidates — assessing career trajectory, education, post-MBA rigor, leadership indicators, and cultural fit for each role.
