The Inside Sales Manager role is responsible for leading a professional team of Inside Sales Account Managers who sell medical products to retail pharmacies, surgery centers and support equipment sales in these spaces. Driving and coaching sales is the top priority in this role. Using situational leadership skills, this manager will develop team members of all experience levels.
In addition, the Inside Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. The role utilizes digital tools and ordering technology to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and create a competitive advantage.
Work Environment & Location Expectations
This is a hybrid position. While the team is hybrid with 1 day a week in the office post training, the Inside Sales Managers are expected to:
Be onsite with their team in the Richmond, VA office every Thursday
Participate in additional in-office leadership meetings, special projects, and team initiatives as needed
Be present onsite for 4+ weeks at a time to support onboarding and training of new team members
Due to these expectations, preferred candidates will currently reside within Richmond, VA or within a 60-mile radius. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for effectively managing team performance and driving accountability to achieve and exceed sales and operational targets
Accountable for ongoing department strategy and initiatives
Sales Reporting: Identifying strengths and opportunities for growth
Sales execution and accountability of team
Work independently with minimal oversight
Collaborate closely with the lead FVP aligned to our customers to build the strategy and hold team accountable to execute strategy
Minimum Requirements: 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Critical Skills:
Experience managing a sales territory and sales strategies
Experience working with Retail Pharmacies or Surgery Centers
Experience leading and developing an equipment focused strategy
Proven success in leading, mentoring and motivating a team of business professionals
Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Must have experience and share viable examples of communicating sales results and identifying areas of strength and needed improvement
Strong analytical background
Self-Disciplined mindset
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Sales experience within healthcare or medical industry strongly preferred
Professional business-to-business inside sales acumen
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
Extensive experience working with Salesforce
Must have experience developing sales strategies for maximum results while managing timelines and team performance
Education:
High school diploma required.
4- year degree in business related field or equivalent experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
General office demands when working from home and conducting meetings in the office
Managers can be on their feet during training new team members
Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Must be located in Richmond, Virginia
Must have reliable transportation and agree to be in office at minimum 1 day/week or more as needed for training or meetings

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$89,000 - $148,300Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
