Job Description:
We are looking for a Costing Data Analyst to join our controlling team.
Responsibilities - your mission
- Reference Strategy & Governance: Define and maintain the standard for general costing references, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and adapted to business needs.
- Data Collection & Maintenance: Proactively collect and curate costing references from worldwide webs and internal/external sources; ensure these references remain current and reliable.
- Hourly Rates & Escalation: Define and manage hourly rate structures and establish clear rules for the escalation and de-escalation of costing data/references.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface to the wider costing community, communicating changes, updates, and best practices regarding general references.
- Modeling & Analysis: Develop, test, and implement advanced analytical models to identify meaningful patterns or trends from costing data sets.
- Compliance & Reliability: Ensure all reference data complies with internal storage guidelines (e.g., AXess methodology) and export control duties.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the Costing "Data Hub" and "Data Lake" strategy by providing structured, high-quality inputs and identifying opportunities for automation.
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or Engineering with significant experience in Cost Engineering.
- Proficiency in data modeling, analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, QlikSense, Jupyter), and AI expertise.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing methodologies, and industrial test practices.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights; "Architect attitude" regarding cross-disciplinary thinking.
- Strong ability to interact, influence, and negotiate at all levels; proven experience in managing communities or projects. Must demonstrate high flexibility to navigate diverse time zones (GMT+0/GMT+1) and collaborate effectively with transnational teams across the UK, Germany, France, and Spain while located in Lisbon, Portugal.
- Negotiation level of English; ability to work in a transnational environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, and team-player with a focus on coaching and driving culture change.
