Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to lead one of our Data Engineering teams within the broader Data & AI group.
This role combines technical leadership, team management, and delivery ownership in a large-scale Big Data environment. The team is responsible for developing and operating core data infrastructure and pipelines that support critical business and analytical workloads across the company.
The environment includes large-scale Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, streaming and batch processing systems, and end-to-end ownership of data solutions in production.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage a team of Data Engineers
- Drive execution, delivery, and day-to-day technical leadership for the team
- Own team planning, task prioritization, and execution quality
- Mentor engineers and support their professional growth and development
- Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Analytics, and other engineering teams
- Lead the design, development, and maintanance of scalable data solutions, tools and features.
- Ensure high standards for reliability, monitoring, observability, and data quality
- Participate in architectural and technical decisions within the broader Data platform
- Support production operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
- Promote engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and operational excellence
- Contribute hands-on to features, infra and POC evaluations.
- Help prepare the organization’s data ecosystem for AI and ML initiatives
What you need to bring:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering within large data enviroments (spanning multiple stakeholders and petabytes of data)
- 3+ years of experience as people leader (team manager).
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale data platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Warehouses
- Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures
- ETL / ELT processes
- Data quality and monitoring
- Experience with both Batch and Stream processing technologies
- Strong Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Flink, Databricks, dbt, or similar
- Experience working with high-scale distributed data systems
- Strong problem-solving and technical leadership capabilities
- Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with people leadership
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High ownership and accountability mindset
