Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  In this role, the Logistics Specialist will use his/her in-depth knowledge and field experience to perform a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, manufacturing/production environment, and field operations


What You Will Do:

  • Provide logistic support to U. S. Government customer, at the INTEGRATED FIRES MISSION COMMAND Field Office.
  • Represent RTX as liaison between Raytheon and U.S. Government at the Miesau Field Office.
  • Provide Miesau Patriot Field Support to include facility administrative tasks to document operations and procedures for site security, visitor reception and assistance, host nation requirements, Miesau installation requirements, and NSPA interface. 

  • Provide Shipping & Receiving Support for handling, storing, and shipping of material, tools, equipment, and parts; maintaining warehouse stock to support all aspects of Patriot program. This includes inventories of items in warehouse and maintaining databases to track all shipping info.
  • Coordinate facility work orders.
  • Coordinate travel paperwork for inbound temporary employees
  • Assist with the management and operations of the Loader/Verifier
  • Coordinate with unit personnel for the shipping and receiving of spares
  • Research and find solutions to various technical and logistical problems found within the Patriot Air Defense System using engineering drawings, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Technical Manuals (TMs), and other resources.
  • Verify, as needed, parts and process instructions using prints, ECPs, TMs and Modification Work Orders (MWOs).
  • Work with other contractors in the Field Office to support special projects as assigned by the U. S. Government customer.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with the Patriot Missile System or similar large scale air defense weapons system.
  • Must currently hold and maintain fully qualified Military ID Card and SOFA status in Germany.
  • Experience with maintenance activities.
  • Experience with how to access and read Army Technical Manuals and regulations
  • U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of Patriot Major End Items or other Air Defense weapon systems preferred.
  • Good written and oral skills to craft presentations, briefing notes and reports that convey complex information effectively to Government customers virtually, onsite, or directly. 
  • Knowledge of Patriot system with experience on Configuration 3+ radar is preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Know how to read schematics.
  • Experience with shipping/receiving operations.
  • Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL) Knowledge.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
