BASIC PURPOSE:To load all the outbound orders into the designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards. This makes sure the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries.
Work Schedule: Sunday: 5:45pm - Until Completion and Monday - Thursday 6:45pm - Until Completion
Starting Pay: $28.40/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.
Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.
Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.
Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.
SUPERVISION RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Selectors, Leads/Supervisors, and Drivers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Related Experience: A minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be pallet jack certified; Good attention to detail; Ability to read load diagrams; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature indoor/outdoor environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is $28.40/hr.
As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
