Program Objective
The Sales Associate Program (SAP) is a structured 12‑month development journey designed to build a strong pipeline of future commercial talents.
This program provides hands‑on exposure, foundational sales skills, and technical knowledge to equip fresh graduates with the capabilities required to pursue a successful career in medical device sales.
The program structure includes:
- 6 months in Sales
- 6 months in Marketing
Selected candidates will be placed under DePuy Synthes, gaining real‑world exposure to a fast‑paced and dynamic healthcare business.
What You Will Learn & Experience
- Work closely with Product Managers to gain exposure in Marketing Excellence, activity planning, and business analysis.
- Participate in fieldwork alongside Product Specialists to understand sales processes, customer engagement, and business needs.
- Provide case support to healthcare professionals, gaining insights into the importance of service excellence and clinical support.
- Learn and assist in delivering continuous medical education (CME) to customers.
- Collaborate across functions with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other business units.
- Build essential commercial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Fresh graduates preferably from Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related disciplines.
- Minimum Second Upper Class Honours or CGPA 3.0 and above.
- Graduated from a reputable and accredited university.
- Willingness and flexibility to be based outside Central regions is an added advantage.
- Strong learning mindset, adaptability, and interest in a medical device sales career.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
