What you will be doing…

The FAST (Field Assurance Support Team) plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, and performance of our Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN). This position involves providing remote support of tower crews performing install and repair work at cell sites.  Work performed will include complex problem-solving, root cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to standards to maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Provide remote, high-level technical support to vendors and field assurance engineers conducting repair and install of RAN equipment and antenna systems at cell sites.
  • Ensure work performed on RAN equipment at cell sites is completed with high quality with no outstanding issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of field support activities, technical issues and resolutions. 
  • Train vendors on internal processes and tools including Vendor Portal.
  • Assist vendors with access to cell sites following internal standards and processes
  • Lead and execute in-depth troubleshooting activities for complex field failures of radio equipment and antenna systems.
  • Collaborate with Field Engineering and Assurance teams to ensure timely and effective support of cell site work activities.
  • Meet or exceed FAST key performance metrics including Response Time to Vendor Portal messages.
  • Recommend FAST process and tools enhancements that will enable efficiencies and increase productivity.

What you will be doing…

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or three or more years of hands-on work experience.
  • Experience in a Field Service, Product Support, Quality Engineering, or Reliability Engineering role, preferably in the wireless network industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture.
  • Experience in construction, maintenance or performance of cellular networks
  • Experience with internal tools including Integrated Ops Portal (IOP) and  Vendor Portal (VP) as well as experience utilizing infrastructure vendor EMS
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and drive complex issues to resolution.
  • Ability to effectively and reliably manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven record of detail-oriented performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • This position will require working shift hours to support daytime time hours in the United States.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace products including GMail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Meet, etc.
