Trade Compliance Specialist

Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of internal controls and drive the implementation of improvement plans. You will conduct inventory audits related to specific transactions and processes (including SAP and operational plant controls). Additionally, you will provide operational support to business units by interfacing with external carriers, suppliers, and internal team members.

The work model for the role is: On site

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings factory in Nogales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate material movement and scheduling using various transportation software systems and applications
• Communicate shipment status with Logistics and Sales teams as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily operations and resolve issues
• Prepare periodic reports and metrics on quality, savings, opportunities, risks, achievements, and value creation
• Participate in relevant ABB Customs Communities and apply best practices across business units
• Support the execution of transportation processes to ensure compliant operations while meeting business requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance programs, including classification
• Knowledge of SAP and intermediate Excel skills
• Previous experience in the IMMEX industry
• Experience with data analysis is a plus
• Advanced English proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field in International Trade
