The Position

About the Role & Team

As a member of our newly established ERP Make & Asset Management team within Roche Digital Technology (RDT), you will be a vital asset in driving our global operations forward. We are looking for a collaborative expert who doesn't just configure systems, but deeply understands the business processes behind Plant Maintenance and Calibration in a highly regulated environment.

Rather than working in a silo, you will work hand-in-hand with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality ERP solutions, contributing your specialized expertise to our collective Asset Management roadmap and acting as a trusted partner to our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Delivery & Collaboration: Work as a key contributor within the Asset Management squad to deliver complex solution designs. Collaborate on the technical evolution of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and SAP Asset Manager to ensure system reliability and compliance.

• Process Optimization: Apply a deep understanding of business processes to improve maintenance execution and planning, with a specific focus on calibration processes, instrumentation, and quality-impacted asset workflows.

• Problem Solving within the Team: Take ownership of complex product-level challenges within your scope. Proactively propose continuous improvement ideas and help the team adopt next-generation asset management technologies.

• Stakeholder Management: Interact across global product squads and business-facing teams. Facilitate clear communication, bridge gaps between IT and business requirements, and foster a strong teamwork dynamic.

• Peer Support: Act as a technical anchor within your domain. Contribute to capability development by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and helping scale the team’s overall SAP expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

• Domain Expertise: Extensive, hands-on configuration experience in SAP S/4 HANA Asset Management  and SAP Asset Manager (mobile solution).

• The Calibration Edge: Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Asset Management including their data models, technical functions and methods. Knowledge in Quality Management. Proven track record designing and implementing SAP Calibration processes (Enhance quality control processes, including inspection planning, quality notifications, test equipment management, and non-conformance reporting). Experience in a validated/GxP environment (Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences) is a significant plus. Experience implementations, upgrades, and support projects in calibration in large-scale global organizations or multi-site environments.. 

• SAP Fiori and integrations: Knowledge in integration infrastructures and middleware. Design solutions for integration with external systems leveraging the latest SAP technical architecture. High level of understanding of the latest SAP Fiori architecture. 

• S/4HANA Asset Management: Detailed knowledge of the SAP Plant maintenance global master data, Maintenance notifications, Maintenance orders and preventive Maintenance, Calibration process, Refurbishment Process. Experience in dealing with key integration areas in Procurement, Warehouse (SAP EWM), Production, Quality Management, Finance and other external systems.

• Documentation and validation is the key: Experience with the system validation process, including documentation and testing of validated systems. Knowledge and experience in Solution Manager.

• Business Process First: Advanced analytical skills with a strong "business process" mindset. You understand why the business needs a workflow, not just how to build it.

• Global & Agile Mindset: Demonstrated experience working successfully within cross-functional, global, and hybrid teams. Experience working within an Agile / SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment is highly desirable. Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.

• Team-Oriented Leadership: Experience functioning as a technical lead or stream lead within a broader product team framework, driving major milestones collectively.

• Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or an equivalent combination of education and corporate experience.

• Certifications: SAP certifications in PM/QM and/or SAP S/4HANA are highly preferred.
