Construction Site Superintendent x 2 – Integrated Owner’s Team

KBR, on behalf of Rex Minerals, is seeking two experienced Construction Site Superintendents to join the integrated Owner’s Construction Team on a major greenfield copper and gold concentrate project in South Australia.

This is a site‑based leadership role offering strong visibility and influence across field execution, working alongside EPCM partners and multiple construction contractors through construction, mechanical completion and handover.

The Opportunity:

• As a Construction Site Superintendent, you will act as the Owner’s on‑ground representative, taking accountability for the safe, efficient and compliant execution of works across assigned construction scopes.

• This is a hands‑on, site‑focused role operating on a back‑to‑back roster, ideal for experienced Senior Supervisors or Superintendents who excel in dynamic, multi‑contractor environments and want to be part of a high‑profile greenfield development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety, Environment & Community

• Provide strong, visible safety leadership across all construction activities

• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site safety management systems and project HSE requirements

• Lead daily pre‑starts, toolbox talks and proactive field safety interactions

• Identify hazards, implement effective controls and actively manage risk

• Ensure environmental and heritage controls are implemented in line with project approvals

Construction Execution:

• Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day construction activities across assigned scopes, including:

• earthworks, civils, concrete, structural steel, SMP, E&I, process plant and non‑process facilities

• Ensure work is executed in accordance with IFC drawings, specifications, ITPs and approved methodologies

• Coordinate work fronts, access, sequencing and shared resources across disciplines

• Monitor progress against schedule and manage field‑based risks and constraints

• Resolve construction issues in collaboration with engineering, quality and planning teams

Contractor & Interface Management:

• Act as the primary field interface between the Owner, EPCM and construction contractors

• Provide clear direction on priorities, scope and execution expectations

• Monitor and manage contractor performance across safety, quality and schedule

• Coordinate interfaces between disciplines, contractors and work fronts

Quality, Planning & Handover:

• Ensure construction quality and specification compliance

• Support ITP implementation, including participation in hold and witness points

• Contribute to short‑interval planning and construction reporting

• Support punch listing, defect rectification and handover readiness

About You:

Essential

• Trade qualification or equivalent construction background

• 10–15 years’ experience in site supervision or Superintendent roles on major projects

• Proven experience working in EPCM‑led, multi‑contractor environments

• Demonstrated safety leadership and strong construction execution capability

Desirable:

• Greenfield mining or mineral processing project experience

• Exposure to mechanical completion and commissioning phases

• Familiarity with South Australian statutory and regulatory requirements
