This role requires a proven high school recruitment leader who combines strategic direction with hands on execution, builds and leads a results driven team, and applies disciplined use of data to improve conversion, yield, and student quality. Reporting to the VP, Student Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships, the Manager works closely with Marketing, Admissions, Academic Leadership, and the Student Success team to ensure recruitment strategies translate into enrolled students who are well aligned with Vega Academy’s academic model, values, and long term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own full accountability for enrollment performance across domestic and international markets, with end-to-end responsibility from inquiry generation through enrollment confirmation.
  • Design, execute, and continuously refine a multiyear recruitment strategy aligned to Vega Academy’s growth objectives, capacity planning, and academic positioning.
  • Set enrollment targets by grade, program, and market, translating goals into clear operating plans, individual accountability, and measurable performance outcomes.
  • Build, lead, and scale a high performing recruitment and admissions team through disciplined hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Establish rigorous recruitment operating rhythms, including funnel management, forecasting, data review, and proactive intervention to address risks and optimize conversion and yield.
  • Lead domestic recruitment across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, while developing and managing selective international recruitment channels that deliver sustainable, high-quality growth.
  • Develop and manage feeder school, guidance counselor, agent, consultant, and community partnerships, setting clear expectations and holding partners accountable for performance.
  • Personally engage in high impact recruitment activities with students, families, and partners, modeling excellence in relationship-based recruitment and decision making.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to shape positioning, messaging, and channel strategies that generate qualified demand and strengthen differentiation in competitive markets.
  • Manage the recruitment budget with a commercial mindset, allocating resources based on performance, return on investment, and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a senior ambassador for Vega Academy, strengthening brand credibility, trust, and visibility with families, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Embed equity, access, and inclusion into recruitment strategy and execution, while ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education requirements, privacy legislation, and international recruitment standards.
  • Provide clear, candid reporting to senior leadership on enrollment performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended course corrections.

The successful candidate will have the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, business, communications, or a related field. A master’s degree is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in high school student recruitment or admissions, with at least 4 years in a senior or leadership role.

  • Direct experience recruiting both domestic and international high school students is mandatory.
