Role

We are looking for a Seasoned Engineering Manager to join the ZPA Datazone team. This is a hybrid role based in Hyderabad, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, ZPA. You’ll lead a team of 6-8 software engineers building the world's largest cloud security platform from the ground up.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

Oversee and lead a team of engineers to develop high-quality software that is performant, scalable, reusable, extensible, secure, supportable, and reliable
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-availability distributed systems using technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Druid, Opensearch
Deliver high-quality, reliable microservices and highly distributed solutions while ensuring overall system reliability
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize security to maintain high availability for critical cloud systems
Collaborate with product managers and other engineering leaders to translate technical goals into measurable business results

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including 3+ years managing global teams across the entire SDL
Deep knowledge of distributed software architectures, cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and system monitoring solutions
Proven ability to lead teams in delivering highly distributed solutions
Skilled at partnering with product management to turn technical vision into impactful execution
