This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence.  If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

Join our Castrol Team and advance your career as a Back Office Manager -Treasury (Castrol)

Castrol are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Back Office Manager responsible for ensuring smooth daily treasury operations across the globe to support the Castrol “Onward, Upward, Forward” strategy.

You will have an opportunity to input the development of a nascent Treasury function, from reporting tools to process design, as well as developing your own team. Castrol is a $10bn+ business and this role, reporting directly into the Group Treasurer, will have complete oversight of the end-to-end treasury trade confirmations and will safeguard operational integrity by managing intercompany funding payments, monitoring overdraft, through your knowledge and experience in corporate treasury operations, systems, policies and procedures you will help establish and run a standalone Castrol treasury function.

In this role You will:

  • Provide first-class operational support to the Treasurer, ensuring smooth day-to-day treasury operations

  • Manage and support the funding of Castrol subsidiaries across global markets

  • Ensure timely and accurate confirmation of FX transactions

  • Review and approve bank account changes, maintaining strong governance and controls

  • Monitor overdraft limits, utilization, and covenant compliance, proactively addressing breaches and partnering with banks and subsidiaries to resolve issues

  • Act as a key point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and business queries

  • Support ad-hoc treasury projects, contributing to agile ways of working across the wider treasury function

  • Coordinate and manage critical payments end-to-end, ensuring completion within required timelines

  • Maintain and continuously improve treasury process documentation

  • Ensure robust business continuity and cover plans are in place and regularly reviewed

  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development and transformation of the treasury function, including process improvements

What You will need to be successful:

  • Proven experience in treasury payment activities and intercompany cash management

  • Hands-on experience working with banking partners and within a treasury or finance back-office environment

  • An academic background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in operational process improvement and driving efficiency

  • Strong understanding of SAP financial processes and data flows, including integrations with connected systems

  • Solid knowledge of payment standards, formats, and mechanisms (such as SWIFT, CAMT, BAI)

  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
