Sr Engineer (Quality/Test Automation Engineer) – Enterprise Business Technology (EBT) Team

The Enterprise Business Technology team is responsible for delivering and supporting global solutions across Human Capital Management (HCM), Corporate Financial Systems, Site Solutions and Compliance, and Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability. We advance TJX’s strategic and operational objectives by implementing and managing a portfolio of SaaS platforms, commercial off‑the‑shelf applications, and custom-built solutions that provide critical capabilities for our business. Our partners across the organization rely on these systems to achieve business goals, maintain operational excellence, and meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
Our team consists of over 100 Associates located across the globe, with plans to increase it now through expansion in our India office. We are seeking a highly skilled, goal-oriented Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll design, build, and scale test automation solutions that ensure high-quality delivery across complex Enterprise and SaaS platforms. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to embed quality early in the development lifecycle, leveraging DevSecOps practices and modern automation frameworks. You’ll lead efforts to improve test coverage, accelerate delivery, and enable data‑driven quality decisions across multiple domains. In addition to hands‑on automation development, this role contributes to technical strategy, mentors team members, and helps shape enterprise quality standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Tricentis TOSCA.
Analyze business and technical requirements to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
Deliver end‑to‑end automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing.
Maintain, enhance, and optimize reusable TOSCA modules, components, and automation assets.
Execute automation test suites, analyze results, and perform defect triage and root‑cause analysis.
Collaborate closely with Development, Product, Business, and cross‑functional testing teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.
Support automation activities during releases, including validation and sign‑off.
Maintain test artifacts, execution reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation.
Communicate QE status, progress, issues, risks, and mitigation plans clearly and timely to key stakeholders and broader team.
Execute test cases both manually and through automation as needed.
Support defect triage for issues, including assessment, documentation, and retesting.
Contribute to future automation technology enablement and AI use cases to drive efficiency and acceleration of delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience
3-5 years in IT, with 2-3 years in QA automation and development experience
Experience delivering test automation using Tricentis TOSCA
Experience working in enterprise‑scale and complex application landscapes
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
Understanding of TDD, BDD, ATDD frameworks and related concepts
Basic scripting or programming knowledge
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical partners.
Experience leveraging AI in the delivery of work components.
Nice to Have:
TOSCA Certifications (AS1 / AS2)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
DevOps and CI/CD pipeline exposure
Knowledge of Performance or Security Testing concepts
Experience in working with OLAP Capabilities like TM1
Understanding of Jira, Confluence and Zephyr
Experience using K2View for synthetic data creation
Workday experience
IBM Planning Analytics or EPM experience
ServiceNow experience including ATF
Knowledge of MCP for Tosca and other application use cases.
