The Manager of Digital and eCommerce will manage the team that is responsible for our eCommerce sales both internally with our click and collect program but also third-party delivery sites like Instacart. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of driving profitable online sales and a first-class pickup or delivery experience. In addition to eCommerce this individual will also lead our email and paid search initiatives, as well as our online customer experience. The ideal candidate is also a passionate leader of people.

This role is segmented as Hybrid. You will be onsite in our corporate headquarters Rosemont, IL or West Linn OR 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) and Virtual Monday and Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Develops digital marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring competitors in a given industry.
• Continuously seek to optimize content, campaigns, processes, and metrics. Make recommendations for improvements and efficiency opportunities, leveraging data insights, research, agency recommendations and/or competitive assessments.
• Plans and executes all web, Search Engine Optimization, email sends, website copy and content.
• Manage all digital marketing channels (e.g. website copy, blogs, email, product related data) to ensure brand consistency
• Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed.
• Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
• Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
• Uses data to make informed decisions through A/B testing to optimize the customer’s path to purchase.
• Collaborates with our creative team to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
• Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
• Identifies critical conversion points and drop-off points to optimize user funnels.
• Completes digital marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees of partner agencies and following up on work results.
• Maintains digital marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Effectively leads a team to accomplish departmental and company goals.
• Maintains oversight and management of all outside agencies (including SEO, email, and digital advertising)
• Develops digital marketing staff and agencies by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:  The incumbent is required to interact with all employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company, including but not limited to Senior Leadership Team, Merchandising, Construction, New Store Support, Pricing and Customer Experience
 
External: The incumbent is required to interact with customers and other service providers

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
Related Experience:  Minimum 3-5  year's experience in digital marketing, particularly with CX and eCommerce responsibility

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
• Creating and maintaining client relationships
• Coaching and subordinate involvement

• Self-motivated yet customer-focused
• Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
• P&L responsibility for owned areas and contractual spends
• Familiar with financial planning and strategy
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Demonstratable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, paid search and/or display advertising campaigns
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
• Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
• Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google Ad Words, Google Merchant Center, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
• Working knowledge of ad serving tools
• Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$75,000 - $125,000
