Job Summary
The Tax Analyst Associate provides administrative and operational support to the tax team by managing routine filings, responding to internal and external requests, maintaining compliance-related documentation, and assisting with month-end close and audit activities. This role plays an important part in supporting accurate, timely tax processes and improving operational efficiency across the department.This position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic tax operations function while contributing to compliance, reporting, and process efficiency efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a team-focused environment.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Respond to internal and external requests.
- Maintain exemption certificate records and related documentation.
- Assist with compiling data for a variety of internal and external requests, including forecasting, rate cases, Sarbanes Oxley and audits.
- Support month-end close activities, including: Monitoring task status and follow-up items, Performing balance sheet signoff support, Verifying account balances, etc.
- Support tax registration preparation and filing activities.
- Collaborate with analysts on special projects and ad hoc requests.
- Support automation-related activities, including running bots for payments, packets, journal entries, and SharePoint processes.
- Complete routine filings and related administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
- Work Experience: One (1) year in total work experience.
Other Must Haves:
- Required License(s)/Certification(s): Progress toward professional certification preferred.
- Physical demand level is Sedentary.
Where You'll Work:
This is an On-Site role based out Canton, OH (or Columbus, OH.)
