Job Description
*This is a hybrid position, with an expectation to be onsite at our Herndon, VA office 2–3 days per week.*
Overview
As a Data Analyst within Sales Operations, you will support data management and data mining efforts for key proprietary internal sales data. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of data, as directed by senior management. The Data Analyst will develop and maintain multifaceted reports and Power BI dashboards to support business decision-making. This role will partner closely with the CX/Renewals team to identify required data sources, define key metrics, and deliver comprehensive reporting solutions across all levels of the CX organization.
Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
- Extract and analyze large datasets from various databases (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, API, Power BI datasets)
- Synthesize raw data into easily understood, clearly formatted information
- Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modeling, DAX measures, and visualizations
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Provide ad hoc reporting and metrics as deemed necessary by senior management
- Demonstrate the ability to train others and build procedures on new reporting or data mining
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with maintaining and reporting on large datasets
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft suite of products, especially in Excel and Power BI
- Hands-on experience with Power BI
- Effective and creative problem-solving skills, to assist in finding solutions to reporting issues
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and work with large amounts of data
- Work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to integrate with field sales and executive management
- Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude
Position Specifics
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
