You Are:
The Special Missions – AI Lead is a pivotal leadership role within Accenture Federal Services, driving the development, execution, and growth of our Special Operations Military clients go-to-market strategy. As an Associate Director, you will lead all strategic growth initiatives across the Special Operations Military clients and intelligence community, positioning AFS as a key partner in the evolution of mission-ready AI solutions. This role is responsible for shaping the future of AFS’s engagement in the special operations mission space and expanding our AI capabilities to meet emerging federal demands.
The Work:
- Develop, refine, and execute a dynamic go-to-market strategy for Special Operations Military clients, aligning with AFS’s broader federal mission objectives.
- Act as the lead advisor to Chief AI Officer and Defense and Intelligence Portfolio Leadership on all things Special Operations Military clients; including M&A opportunities, partnerships, and exercise attendance and investments
- Lead and coordinate all growth activities across Special Operations Military clients and the intelligence community, including opportunity identification, customer engagement, and solution development.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders, partners, and industry leaders in the national security and special missions sectors.
- Shape and guide the future direction of AFS’s special operations mission portfolio, focusing on HQ Special Operations Military clients but also forward deployed mission partners who are most in need of commercial solutions.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to design, deliver, and implement advanced AI and data-driven solutions tailored to the needs of special missions customers.
- Monitor market trends, mission challenges, and technology advancements to inform and adapt AFS’s growth strategy.
- Mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams focused on delivering mission-critical outcomes.
- Represent AFS at industry forums, conferences, and customer engagements, articulating our vision and value in the special operations and intelligence communities.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelors Degree
- Demonstrated leadership delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical Data & AI or advanced analytics solutions within federal client enviroments
- Proven ability to shape technical strategy, architect complex AI/ML platforms, and guide cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, data science, DevSecOps) toward high‑impact outcomes.
- Strong track record partnering with senior clients to define mission challenges, translate them into solution roadmaps, and drive measurable business or mission value.
- Experience leading business development activities, including technical capture, solution design, pricing, and go‑to‑market planning for Data & AI offerings.
- Demonstrated success driving growth of a portfolio, practice, or capability area—including offer development, commercialization, and revenue expansion.
- Deep understanding of responsible AI practices, cloud-native architectures, security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, IC, DoD), and modern engineering delivery models.
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders, resolve complex delivery challenges, and operate autonomously across ambiguous or evolving mission environments.
- Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on building specialized Data & AI capabilities and talent pipelines.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
