Job Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

ArsenalOS is Anduril's unified production systems platform - the digital backbone for our manufacturing operations spanning PLM, MES, WMS, and supply chain systems. We're building modern, integrated solutions that enable us to scale hardware production with software velocity.

ABOUT THE JOB:

We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow our PLM engineering function within ArsenalOS. You'll build and manage the team developing Product Lifecycle Management capabilities - including Teamcenter customizations, integrations with ERP/MES systems, and custom tooling - that serve engineering teams across multiple product lines. This role requires deep PLM technical expertise, strong organizational influence, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

You'll partner with the PLM Product Manager to define technical strategy and execution plans, working closely with change management, requirements management, ERP, and other ArsenalOS teams. While you'll start with a team of ~8 engineers, you'll be positioned to scale this function as the company grows. The ideal candidate has built or deeply customized PLM systems, understands enterprise integrations, and has a track record of delivering high-leverage technical capabilities in fast-growing organizations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Strategic Leadership & Technical Direction:
    • Partner with PLM Product Manager to define technical strategy - collaborate on the technical vision for how Anduril manages product data. Provide technical input on feasibility, architecture, and build vs. buy decisions. Translate product requirements into technical execution plans.
    • Drive PLM architecture and integration strategy - set technical direction for Teamcenter customizations, data models, integration patterns, and API strategies. Make architectural decisions for how PLM connects with change management systems, requirements management tools, ERP, MES, and engineering applications.
    • Represent PLM engineering in cross-functional planning - collaborate with change management, requirements management, ERP, and other ArsenalOS teams to ensure seamless integrations. Partner with engineering directors and operations leaders to align PLM capabilities with company needs. Advocate for technical investments and communicate technical constraints to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build and scale a high-performing PLM engineering team - hire, develop, and retain strong developers and solution engineers. Develop team members' technical and leadership capabilities. Establish team culture, engineering practices, and ways of working.
    • Establish technical standards and practices - shape how PLM engineering gets done at Anduril. Set code quality bars, deployment practices, operational excellence standards, and documentation approaches that create consistency and reliability.
    • Coordinate across teams and functions - work with dotted-line team members, partner with ArsenalOS teams, change management, requirements management, and ERP teams. Build consensus on complex technical initiatives that span multiple systems. Remove organizational blockers.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Maintain deep technical credibility in PLM systems - stay close enough to Teamcenter architecture, Java services, and integration patterns to make sound technical decisions, validate approaches, and mentor senior engineers. Be the technical authority on PLM systems and enterprise integrations.
    • Own PLM domain expertise - be the go-to technical expert for PLM across Anduril.
