Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will Supports the development of the planning and fulfillment-related processes, skills, and tools. Supports performance improvement, including customer on-time delivery and lead time, ensuring adherence to inventory targets and supply plan optimization.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite.
This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Power Division in Electrification Business, will be based at Alur Village, Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Managed planning and procurement of trading goods while ensuring optimal inventory levels in line with business targets and operational requirements.
Performed inventory analysis including short, excess, obsolete, and aging stock management, while implementing corrective actions in coordination with sales, marketing, suppliers, and fulfillment teams.
Coordinated with local and global suppliers to improve purchase schedules, supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality, lead times, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Handled import/export activities, customs and GST compliance, re-export of defective units, and benefits under schemes such as EPCG, Advance License, DEEC, DEPB, and EXIM policies.
Monitored customer order delays, warehouse goods receipt processes, inbound discrepancies, supplier NCRs, KPI reporting, and stakeholder coordination to ensure smooth logistics and customer service operations.
Qualifications for the role:
Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline with solid knowledge of procurement, inventory, and supply planning processes.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, inventory management, material planning, or supply chain operations.
Solid working knowledge of SAP for procurement, material planning, inventory tracking, and supply chain management activities.
Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications for data analysis, reporting, documentation, and operational coordination.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to collaborate across suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Good structured and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage inventory accuracy, procurement schedules, and delivery timelines efficiently.
Detail-oriented professional with the ability to work in cross-functional environments while ensuring process compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
