Overview
The Vice President, Product Management – Technical (PMT) will lead technical product strategy for Mastercard’s AI Decisioning Foundations. This role is responsible for shaping and owning the technical product vision that underpins scalable, reliable, and secure AI decisioning capabilities used across merchant and transaction fraud, decision tooling, platform services and network services. The goal is to build a single, coherent vision and strategy for the foundational components that power every AI‑driven decision across AI & DPE.

As a senior platform product leader, you will shape how AI decisioning capabilities are discovered, defined, and evolved—providing technical product thought leadership, building durable operating mechanisms, and fostering a data driven, continuous learning culture. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, data science, operations, and internal customers to ensure platform strategies are aligned, outcomes are measurable, and execution quality continuously improves. This is a highly visible leadership role with broad influence across Mastercard’s AI & Data Platform Engineering ecosystem.

Roles
• Drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI Decisioning Foundations with PMT leaders, ensuring alignment with Mastercard’s long term AI and platform strategy.
• Lead a global Mastercard Product Management – Technical organization, defining the structures, operating mechanisms, and execution models that optimize PM T skills, decision making, and impact across the portfolio.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, data science, data engineering and operations leaders to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant AI decisioning platforms.
• Establish and advocate for a well-defined vision to integrate AI into product discovery. Guide the team in utilizing AI to enhance product exploration, problem identification, requirements specification, facilitating informed decision-making and improved results for engineering teams.
• Establish and evolve a data driven, continuous learning culture, using metrics, insights, and feedback loops to guide prioritization and improve outcomes.
• Define and own a product scorecard, continuously monitoring key performance indicators and using data to drive incremental improvements across product and engineering execution.
• Rigorously inspect platform products, risks, and execution metrics, applying strong technical depth and business acumen to raise the delivery and quality bar across PM Ts.
• Provide technical platform product management thought leadership across the organization, influencing standards, best practices, and ways of working.
• Build and cultivate strong internal customer relationships, establishing clear engagement models and ensuring expectations, priorities, and outcomes are well aligned.
• Manage escalations effectively, balancing urgency, risk, and long term platform health.
• Plan and advocate for department resources, aligning capacity and capability with strategic priorities.

All About You
• Proven experience leading large scale platform or infrastructure product portfolios in complex, enterprise environments.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage deeply on AI driven systems, data platforms, and decisioning technologies.
• Demonstrated success building and leading high performing PM or PM T organizations, including developing managers and senior product leaders.
• Track record of setting and differentiating a high performance and leadership bar across multiple levels, and applying that bar consistently to hiring and talent decisions.
• Passion for coaching and developing people, continuously raising standards for technical depth, product outcomes, and people leadership.
• Ability to foster a culture of test and learn experimentation and innovation, grounded in real customer and business needs.
• Strong alignment to leadership principles, with the ability to visibly connect product and organizational decisions back to those principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with credibility at both executive and deeply technical levels.
