Job Title: Application and Design Engineer

Location: Tigery (91) - FRANCE

Type of contract: Work-study program

Start date: September 1, 2026

Job Mission: Within the Engineering department of Moog SARL, the main mission of the work-study student will be to support the key functions of design and technical application. He/She will act as operational support (or even duplicate on certain projects) to guarantee the responsiveness of our pre-sales service and the accuracy of our servo solutions.

Responsibilities:

Engineering and Design (about 70% of the time):

  • 3D Design and Drawing: Realization of plans and modeling in SolidWorks for projects of hydraulic blocks, cylinders or complete integrated systems.
  • Servo Programming: Development and programming of servo functions on the MC600 controller (CoDeSys environment).
  • Sizing Calculations: Realization of precise technical calculations for the choice of servo valves and servo actuators adapted to customer needs.
  • Technical Documentation: Drafting of detailed assembly instructions for the delivered solutions.
  • Technical Data Management: Contribution to the processes of creating items and bills of materials in the computer system (ERP).

Sales and Field Support (about 30% of the time):

  • Costing assistance: Direct support to Sales Engineers (IC) for the development of complex technical specifications.
  • Customer diagnosis: Occasional trips to customer sites to carry out hydraulic diagnostics.
  • Commissioning: Active participation in the start-up and adjustment phases of systems at customers (mainly OEMs).
  • Administrative Support: Filing and archiving of technical project files

Description of Workplace Relationships

Placed under the supervision of an application engineer, the work-study student works in close collaboration with the entire engineering team. He/She will be required to interact regularly with the Sales Engineers for pre-sales support and may be in direct contact with customers during on-site interventions

Profile sought:

  • Education:

Student preparing for a BUT GMP (Mechanical and Production Engineering).

  • Technical skills:
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
  • Theoretical knowledge of the principles of servo control.
  • Good technical writing skills in French.
  • Level of operational technical English (reading international documentation).

  • Personal qualities:
  • Rigor and precision in calculations and design.
  • Progressive autonomy and proactivity on the projects entrusted to you.
  • Team spirit and interpersonal skills for sales support and customer service.
