Under limited supervision, this project-based position will aid in supporting all Land related disciplines to supplement and execute solutions for backlog cleanup and provide go-forward procedural recommendations ensuring quality controls upon project completion.


 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze leases, contracts, title opinions, operating agreements and legal documents to calculate a royalty owner’s division of interest for purposes of payment of proceeds and a working interest owner’s billable share of the burdens
  • Research and resolve complex quality control reports, decimal discrepancies and title issues including title curative
  • Calculate and confirm company leasehold acreage
  • Collaborate with Division Orders, Lease Records, Land, Business Development, Legal and Accounting departments to ensure alignment and compliance when necessary
  • Assist with acquisition, divestiture, due diligence, internal/external audits, data conversions, and other special projects
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of ten (10+) years of experience as Oil & Gas Title Landman, Lease Analyst, Division Order or combination thereof
  • At least five (5+) years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Basic knowledge of E&P operational workflows with the ability to apply that knowledge directly to your daily responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven analytical research skills in reviewing multiple data sources to find specific information
  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility to administer varying workload and priorities
  • Professionalism in the handling of confidential and propriety company information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, Quorum and On Demand Land
  • Experience working title within the Midland and Delaware basins
