Position Description:

The University of Louisville Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Department. Applicants should be board certified in Family Medicine (or equivalent primary care training), obtain licensure in the state of Kentucky, and have demonstrated clinical and teaching skills. Applicants should also have the additional training of an accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship. Experience and proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound would be a preference. This position will consist of providing full-scope primary care and supervising residents in the primary care and hospital settings. This faculty member will also see patients in our sports medicine clinic, supervise sports medicine fellows, and attend training room sessions with University of Louisville athletics. Opportunities for game coverage and serving as a team physician would be an expectation. Working with students, residents, and fellows is a key component of this position, as will supporting our departmental missions for education and clinical service.
