The purpose of the maintenance supervisor is to direct and supervise a work force composed of Company employees and contract maintenance personnel in procedures and techniques of repairing, rebuilding and preventive maintenance of major mechanical equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise crafts in maintenance department in the performance of repairs and preventive maintenance for all mechanical equipment
- Analyzes problems in malfunctioning units in Plant
- Establishes standard maintenance procedures
- Requests major repair parts, materials and equipment for normal repairing and turnaround jobs
- Makes recommendations and executes approved modifications to equipment
- Organizes effective workforce for twenty-four hours maintenance capability
- Recommends necessary spare parts for major equipment in the Plant
- Plans and carries out preventive maintenance and repair maintenance work
- Contacts vendors to provide technical assistance required to obtain comparable bids on purchases of installation of equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five years' experience in maintenance or operations at a process plant. Hands on experience preferred.
