About the Role

As a Chemist in our Manufacturing Projects & Processing lab in Amsterdam, you will be part of an innovative R&D environment focused on optimizing coatings production processes. You will work at the intersection of formulation and manufacturing, ensuring that new and existing products can be efficiently and effectively produced at scale.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to projects that impact multiple regions across Europe, delivering high-quality solutions for both Trade and DIY markets.

What will you do?

• Assess and implement new manufacturing processes to support innovation.
• Apply chemical and formulation knowledge to optimize production methods.
• Support scale-up activities from lab to industrial manufacturing.
• Optimize processes for specific factories and project requirements.
• Contribute to supply footprint and operational improvement projects across Europe.
• Investigate and improve existing processes, focusing on efficiency and simplification.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams on ongoing projects.
• Document findings, provide technical insights, and support decision-making.

What do you bring?

• Degree in Chemistry (HBO/Bachelor or higher).
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, formulation, or product development.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently after an initial onboarding period.
• Pragmatic, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to work closely with manufacturing environments.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in standard office tools (e.g., MS Office).
• Curiosity, innovation mindset, and a proactive approach.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
