Test Infrastructure Engineer

We’re on a mission to improve lives through science, data, and design — and we’re seeking a Test Infrastructure Engineer to join our Test Tools & Infrastructure team in Oulu.

In this role, you will take ownership of the systems, tools, and environments that enable automated testing across hardware and software development. You will design, build, and evolve the infrastructure that supports scalable product validation — from development labs to manufacturing environments.

Unlike a support-focused role, this position centers on infrastructure ownership, architecture decisions, and long-term reliability of our test ecosystems.

Location: On-site in Oulu, Finland

Key Responsibilities: 

Own and develop test infrastructure

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable test tools and infrastructure used across hardware and software organization.
• Architect and improve test beds used for development validation and automated system testing.
• Develop and maintain Python-based frameworks and tooling for test automation.
• Ensure test environments are reliable, maintainable, and continuously available.
• Define infrastructure standards, documentation practices, and configuration management.

Enable efficient product development

• Support hardware and software teams by solving complex test environment and tooling issues.
  
  
• Drive improvements in automation coverage, robustness, and test execution efficiency.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with testing, software, and hardware teams to align infrastructure with product needs.
  
  
• Contribute to long-term roadmap planning of test infrastructure and tooling.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Python development (preferably in automation or infrastructure context).
• 1+ years of experiences in Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI).
• Strong Linux knowledge and experience maintaining Linux-based systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience working with embedded systems, hardware-related development, or test environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills.
• Independent, proactive working style with ownership mentality.
• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred 

• Experience with AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, CDK) or cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience with Pytest, or similar test frameworks.
• Knowledge of USB, BLE, NFC, Wireless charging
• Experience building or maintaining lab environments or automated test systems.
