Job Description

About Flipp

Flipp partners with the largest North American retailers and brands to deliver local promotions and savings to millions of engaged shoppers daily, driving superior returns on investments.

We help people make smarter shopping decisions with autonomy and accountability. With rising living costs, Flipp's mission is crucial. Our Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content, aiding shoppers in deciding what to buy and where to buy it. Together, we make a difference.

Our five principles, Progress Over Perfection, Clarity Through Transparency, Learn Loudly, Challenge with Empathy, and Always Build Better, bring a relentless progress mindset to life. They’re not just slogans, but they’re the behaviours we expect, reward, and hold ourselves accountable to. You'll be equipped to make an impact, realize your potential, and stay inspired every step of the way.

The Financial Planning & Analytics Systems Lead (Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Systems Lead) will serve as the architect and product owner of our financial planning ecosystem. Sitting strategically within the Strategic Transformation team, you will bridge the gap between technical systems and financial strategy.

In this role, you will own our EPM landscape (Workday Adaptive Planning) and assist in enabling broader BI capabilities and dashboards. Your work will unlock strategic insights that benefit not just the FP&A team, but the greater finance organization, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to design the ecosystem for 2026+ complexity. You will act as a Principal Individual Contributor responsible for the "single source of truth," allowing you to lead the technical architecture for our Global EPM transformation without getting bogged down in manual reconciliations or ad-hoc administrative tasks.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

Product Ownership & Architecture

  • Act as the primary architect for the company’s financial planning and analytics ecosystem, specifically owning Workday Adaptive Planning and CCH Tagetik.
  • Architect the data integration strategy to solve connectivity challenges between disparate systems. You will support the logic design that connects operational data (from CRM, HRIS, Data Warehouses) with financial data, transforming isolated datasets into a unified model for robust, driver-based analytics.
  • Design for analytical depth, not just reporting. Structure data models to support complex, multidimensional analysis (e.g., cohort analysis, unit economics) rather than just flat financial statements.
  • Design and maintain complex models, assumptions, and hierarchies to ensure scalability across multiple legal entities and currencies.
  • Serve as the guardian of the "single source of truth," managing model configuration and structural integrity to prevent data fragmentation.
  • Architect BI dashboards and reporting layer that provide FP&A and the wider business with self-service access to real-time financial and operational data, eliminating the bottleneck of manual data fetching and enabling teams to ac insights to drive high-value strategic analysis.
  • Drive the visualization strategy for financial reporting, transitioning the organization from static reporting to interactive BI dashboards that allow leadership access to continuous information.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage role-based security protocols to ensure sensitive financial and personnel data is protected and accessible only to authorized users.

Enablement & Process Design

  • Partner deeply with FP&A to translate complex business questions into scalable system requirements.
  • Optimize core planning processes (Annual Operating Plan, Rolling Forecasts, QBRs) by ensuring the system facilitates rapid, automated scenarios.
  • Enable faster cycle times for analysts by automating processes and reducing manual lift, without stepping into the role of the analyst yourself.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives by creating and delivering training programs that upskill
