The role
We are looking for a technical professional with a strong technical background to join Viessmann Australia as a Technical Applications & Field Engineer.
This role suits an experienced installer /technician or engineer who enjoys solving problems, helping others on site, and stepping into a broader technical and support role. You will work closely with installers across Australia, helping with system sizing, commissioning, controls setup, troubleshooting, and representing the Viessmann brand to architects and project partners.
What you’ll be doing
Provide technical support on system sizing and application for hydronic heating, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems
Review installer designs and offer practical, product-aligned recommendations
Support pre-sales technical queries from installers and internal teams
Attend site to assist with commissioning, setup, and optimisation of systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely
Manage warranty processes, including documentation and coordination of service partners
Maintain accurate reports and provide feedback to improve products, training, and documentation
What we’re looking for
Essential:
Strong background in HVAC, hydronic heating, heat pumps, boilers, or ventilation systems
Hands-on experience with commissioning and fault finding
Solid understanding of system hydraulics, controls, and basic electrical concepts
Confident working on construction and retrofit sites
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
Willingness to travel
Well-organised with good documentation skills
Desirable:
Relevant trade qualification (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration)
Experience with premium or European systems
Exposure to HRV / MVHR systems
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with AU/NZ standards
