Position: Extruder Operator (Nights) – ZipPak, Manteno, IL
12-hour shifts (7pm–7am) on a 2-2-3 schedule with alternating weekends off

Summary:
Operate and maintain plastic extrusion lines to produce quality product while meeting production targets (line speed, uptime, yield).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality checks and document results
  • Troubleshoot issues and communicate with team and maintenance
  • Complete line changeovers, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance
  • Package and label product accurately
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Support team with operations and changeovers

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Extrusion experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Stable work history and flexibility to take on new tasks

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation Information:

For Nights- The hourly range for an Extruder Operator 1 is $20.00 to $24.00 plus an additional $1.00 shift premium.  The pay rate for a successful candidate will depend on the geographic location, this pay range is for a successful candidate in the Chicagoland area.  The specific hiring rate within the posted range will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
