Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Blackline COE Team. As a Blackline System Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting our Global Process Owner (GPO) team and contributing to the success of our end-to-end process optimization efforts within the Record to Report (R2R) workstream. 

The Blackline System Analyst will oversee the following activities

  • Act as a Blackline Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and support to end users. 
  • Manage and process Blackline change requests, including user access management and master data changes. 
  • Collaborate closely with the IT department to address and resolve any technical issues related to Blackline. 
  • Deliver training and ongoing support to users, enabling them to effectively utilize all modules within Blackline. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure system data accuracy 
  • Support Blackline implementations and enhancements across all modules (reconciliation, journals, and tasks). 
  • Ensure Blackline SOX IT compliance by diligently performing system controls aligned with Thermo Fisher standards. 
  • Analyze and evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions to optimize the end-to-end process. 
  • Work closely with RTR Global Process Owner, IT, PPI, and Automation teams to support process improvements and automation initiatives. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Proficient in spoken and written English skills. 
  • Proficiency with diverse ERPs (SAP, JDE, Oracle) and Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word) necessary. 
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end R2R processes. 
  • Proven experience as a BlackLine Administrator, with strong functional knowledge of key modules including Reconciliations, Tasks, and Journals, supporting configuration, maintenance, and end-user support. 
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new technologies, with a strong innovation mindset and continuous improvement focus. 
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with different customers at all levels.
