Position Summary

The Manager, Front Store Emerging Innovation leads the execution of Front Store emerging technology tests and pilots.  From lab readiness through in-store testing, this role ensures pilots are run with disciplined measurement, tight operational coordination, and clear feedback loops. This role partners closely with their leadership, vendors, and CSC partners to execute test plans, collect and synthesize field feedback, monitor performance outcomes, and maintain day-to-day testing operations in both the Operations Innovation Lab and in-store. The Manager helps ensure pilot activity is consistent, repeatable, and decision-useful by maintaining test documentation, coordinating store execution and support needs, and producing clear pilot updates and post-test readouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute pilot test plans end-to-end, including lab environment setup, store and field coordination, and measurement hygiene

  • Collect, organize, and synthesize feedback from stores, field leaders, and partners to inform iteration and scale decisions

  • Monitor pilot performance outcomes and produce clear reporting on KPIs, issues, and recommendations

  • Maintain day-to-day readiness of the Innovation Lab environment and testing assets used for pilots

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience executing pilots and tests in retail or frontline operating environments (e.g., lab, store, or comparable field setting)

  • Strong operational coordination skills with multiple stakeholder groups, including stores, field leaders, vendors, and corporate partners.

  • Familiarity with front store workflows such as inventory/on-shelf availability, pricing and promotion execution, and colleague mobile device usage

  • Experience collecting and synthesizing qualitative feedback into clear, actionable insights, and comfort with KPI tracking and basic performance reporting (e.g., Excel, dashboards, scorecards)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with high attention to detail, and willingness to travel to stores as needed (up to 50%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience thinking strategically and developing long-term plans that align with organizational goals and objectives

  • 5+ years of experience leveraging strong communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

  • 5+ years of end-to-end project management experience, leading initiatives from initial concept through successful launch

  • 5+ years of experience launching technology solutions in fast-paced environments (retail launch experience a plus), including partnering with vendors to scope and execute pilots, define requirements, and build delivery plans

  • Advanced proficiency with analytics tools such as SQL for data analysis and reporting
