Zayo is seeking a Facility Deployment Project Manager who will be a critical member of the project team responsible for the development, planning, engineering, construction, and delivery of new and long-haul route facilities in the United States. Our Facility Deployment Project Manager utilizes tight project controls and proactive problem-solving to anticipate and mitigate issues and keep projects on time and on budget. Our Facility Deployment Project Manager maintains transparent and effective communications with stakeholders. Our Facility Deployment Project Manager reports directly to the Long Haul Implementation Senior Manager.
Responsibilities
Oversee construction vendor management of telecom facilities
Complete construction documents, designs and redlines
Manage Electrical Utility Coordination and Design (AC/DC Power)
Manage the ILA Vendor Relationships
Create and maintain project budgets and schedules
Update and maintain project trackers and providing internal weekly project readouts (Expert Excel skills/Sitetracker experience is a plus)
Manage Capital expenditure forecasts
Manage procurement of all facility-related materials and equipment
Complete Electrical Utility forms and facilitate the Electrical Utility procurement process to ensure proper electrical design and delivery of power to the ILAs - this experience is a requirement.
Work with municipalities and AHJs (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to meet all local and federal permit requirements
Work cross-functionally across multiple internal functional groups including: Sales, Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP), Design Engineering, Field Operations and NOC (Network Operations Center to deliver and handoff facility projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in Construction Management or other related technical field, or equivalent work experience. Business degree/acumen, a plus
Minimum of seven (7) years in the Construction industry with a telecom focus.
Minimum of seven (7) years Construction Management experience
Familiarity with all types of inside plant construction methods and best practices
Working knowledge of ISP construction standards, DC Power, HVAC and Generator installation is required.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents
Familiar with all facets of ISP project management including quoting, construction and delivery
Experience managing large capital projects including writing purchase requisitions and receiving/reconciling invoices
Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical topics clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers
Business minded and able to maintain a commercial focus
Proficient with Outlook, MS365, SiteTracker, Visio, Adobe and experience with AutoCAD, a plus
Estimated base salary range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annually
The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
