Job Description

The Technician 2 is responsible for performing complex technical tasks in Avionics & Electronics Assembly and Test, troubleshooting issues, and providing support to other team members. They may also be involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment or systems.  

Essential Functions: 

  • Executes test plans and provides feedback on outcomes or issues 
  • Writes up reports of daily production activity  
  • Maintains records and files of all completed engineering work  
  • Runs tests on products and equipment to ensure they function properly  
  • Provides suggestions for ways to improve products and equipment 
  • Keeps apprised of the latest developments and innovations in the industry  
  • Addresses and resolves glitches and problems with products  
  • Orders and replaces equipment parts  
  • Answers employee or customer questions about the function and maintenance of products  
  • Ensures that all safety procedures are observed during production work  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned  
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

Qualifications and Competencies: 

  • Security Clearance- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required. 
  • Proficient knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.  
  • Proficiency in system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. 
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and engineering.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.  
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure effectively.  
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards in production.  
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP systems).  
  • Proficient in Computer Operating systems, Windows and Linux 

Education / Certifications 

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field required  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred  

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of related experience
