 Your New Role…   

 

The Director of Product Management, Performance and Frameworks, is responsible for leading a portfolio of four platform pods (Data Privacy, Site Performance, Design System, and Experimentation Tooling) that collectively reduce risk, identify optimizations, and increase organizational confidence across CNN's entire Product, Technology, and Design organization. Sitting within the Digital Platform Group, this role leads a team of senior PMs and is accountable for the tooling and standards that make our products more consistent, performant, compliant, and measurable. While this role has high context switching and disparate product areas, it has high potential for impact. The person who thrives here knows how to drive adoption and create leverage at scale so that every team ships faster, with higher quality and greater confidence in what they release. 

  

Your Role Accountabilities… 

  • Own the vision and strategy for a portfolio of multiple complex product areas, defining the functional direction and aligning the team on clear metrics goals, priorities and execution 

  • Actively evaluate and implement AI powered features and workflows that create leverage across the portfolio 

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Design, and Data organizations, representing the portfolio to executive audiences with clarity and championing platform investment  

  • Serve as the go-to authority for the Platform team on overall compliance priorities, continuously monitoring the evolving landscape and translating regulatory/legal shifts into strategic product decisions 

  • Develop strong product leaders, and coach PMs by providing strong examples of product work, product thinking, and demonstrating a commitment to fostering a culture of growth 

  • Establish operating mechanisms that result in clear priorities, remove blockers, deliver end user value, and hold the team accountable for consistent outcomes 

  • Drive measurable adoption of platform tooling, standards, and best practices across the organization  

  • Own measurable outcomes, connecting progress on performance, experimentation, Design System, and privacy to clear, quantifiable business results 

  

Qualifications & Experience…  

  

Required 

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading and developing product teams in a people leadership role 

  • Experience developing strong product leaders, including coaching senior ICs and creating a culture of high performance and continuous growth 

  • Demonstrated experience owning multiple complex product areas simultaneously, defining vision, strategy, and execution for a product portfolio 

  • Proven ability to operate in environments of high complexity and ambiguity, making clear decisions and driving alignment across the organization.  

  • Track record of driving adoption of platform tooling, standards, or shared systems across a large engineering and product organization 

  • Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships across Engineering, Legal, Design, and Data organizations, influencing without formal authority and representing a technical portfolio to executive audiences 

  • Experience with at least two of the following domains: Data Privacy and Compliance, Site Performance, Design Systems, Experimentation Platforms, and with demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in new areas 

Preferred 

  • Experience at a media company, publisher, or similarly complex multi-brand digital platform 

  • Background working with or building internal platform products that serve Product, Design and Engineering teams 

  • Familiarity with AI-powered product development and a track record of evaluating and implementing AI workflows that create meaningful leverage 

  • Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to digital products, including privacy regulation and accessibility standards, with the ability to translate shifts into strategic product decisions and communicate across the organization 

  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and driving experimentation culture at scale 

  • Direct experience with web performance metrics including Core Web Vitals and performance optimization at scale 

  • Experience owning a Design System in a multi-product organization, including driving adoption across product, design and engineering teams

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $175,000.00 - $325,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
