Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (Per Diem, Days/Evenings)

Location: Clifton Springs Hospital, 2 Coulter Road
Clifton Springs, NY 14432
Hours Per Week: Per Diem, As needed
Schedule: Monday - Sunday, Rotating weekends, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
SUMMARY:
As a Behavioral Health Tech I, your ability to anticipate needs, communicate effectively and demonstrated compassion greatly assists in the successful treatment and rehabilitation of all patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient Care. Provide direct care and clinical services to patient on an individual basis, including activities such as daily living, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN; communicate with patient effectively and ensure they have access to required services; inform RN of any patient changes
- General Assistance. Perform general cleaning and upkeep in department including cleaning patient rooms and equipment, stock required supplies and check equipment in treatment rooms; assist with setup, procedures and evaluation
- Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation of patient’s response to treatment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required Degree
- Required Certification/Licensure
- Required Years of Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates in Human Services or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology or Human Services preferred.
- 1-3 years of healthcare experience in related field preferred
- Compassionate, warm and patient focused\Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
