The Opportunity

Abbott France is offering a 2-year Government Affairs apprenticeship within its Government Affairs team. Reporting to the Government Affairs Country Director, you will actively support Abbott’s public affairs activities and gain hands-on exposure to healthcare policy, regulation, and stakeholder engagement in France and across Europe.

This apprenticeship is designed for a Master’s level student with a strong interest in healthcare, public policy, and technology-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Support Government Affairs initiatives aimed at protecting and advancing Abbott’s interests with:
- Legislative bodies
- Government agencies
- Policymakers and politicians
- Trade and business associations
- Key opinion leaders and influencers
Monitor public policy and regulatory developments impacting Abbott and its business units
Contribute to weekly Government Affairs reports prepared for the Abbott France Board of Directors
Support and, over time, lead specific projects assigned by the Government Affairs Country Director
Engage with the ecosystem of e-health stakeholders, professional associations, and patient organizations
Collaborate with internal partners across functions and with colleagues in other EU countries where Abbott operates

Your Profile

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree (or final year of Bachelor leading to Master) in:
- Political Science
- Public Policy
- Public Health
- Life Sciences or related fields
- A legal background or MBA track is a plus
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
Genuine interest in healthcare systems, digital health, data and AI-related topics
Strong team spirit and comfort working in a matrix organization
Ability to work in support of senior leadership
Fluent in English (French is strongly preferred)
Solid computer skills; video or digital communication skills are a plus
