What You Will Do

We are seeking a Manager, Commercial Finance to support revenue growth and margin optimization through rigorous financial analysis, planning, and business partnership. This role sits at the intersection of FP&A and Commercial Finance, partnering closely with Sales, Revenue Management, and Business Analytics to drive data‑backed decisions in a fast‑growing organization. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and analytical skills with commercial acumen, curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders. You will collaborate with all other functions and have unique exposure to key business drivers of a rapidly growing brand and organization. You will be a game changer, demonstrating the intellectual curiosity and scrappiness to dig into unfamiliar data and analysis and provide actional insights to leadership. You will be a critical contributor and leader on a growing and impactful finance team.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting 

  • Own the development and maintenance of commercial finance dashboards, reports, and analytical tools. 
  • Ensure accurate revenue, trade, and margin reporting in monthly financial statements and management reporting.
  • Analyze actuals versus plan for volume, mix, pricing, trade, and margin across customers and products; identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and other leadership presentations with clear financial narratives and insights.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to align definitions, assumptions, and metrics used in commercial reporting.
  • Continuously improve data quality, reporting processes, and system outputs to enhance insight and efficiency. 

Financial Planning 

  • Partner with the Sales and Business Analytics functions, analyzing and optimizing trade and promotional activity to drive pricing and customer profit strategy.
  • Review and provide financial recommendations on commercial proposals, bids, tenders, and trade spend to ensure return on investment.
  • Reviewing monthly and forecasted sales volume, trade performance, mix and margin against targets, identifying trends, and evaluating variances to identify risks and improve profitability and forecast accuracy. 
  • Support long range planning in partnership with the business analytics team, recommending strategies that optimize on margin while maintaining sales goals.

Other Support and Ad Hoc Analysis 

  • Provide financial support for innovation initiatives, new contracts, and product or customer investment cases.
  • Create, maintain, enhance, and refresh finance analytical tools for project based and ad hoc sales and trade planning initiatives.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate scenarios, trade‑offs, and investment decisions impacting growth and profitability.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for DSO metric improvements.
  • Proactively surface insights, questions, and recommendations to finance and business leadership.
  • Enhance financial systems, data accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Accept responsibility for organizational goals and take ownership of new duties and identify new opportunities within the Finance department.

Team Development 

  • Build and develop the commercial FP&A function by defining roles, identifying capability gaps, and supporting team growth.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports through effective delegation, coaching, and performance development.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the broader FP&A organization as the business scales.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Revenue Management, Trade Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, or related quantitative field
  • Advanced in Excel, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, BI, CRM and financial planning applications is a plus
