IEM is currently seeking a MRB Manager for our Ashburn, VA location. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Material Review Board (MRB) process across IEM manufacturing plant(s). In this position, you’ll help ensure the smooth and timely handling of non-conforming (NC) materials and products—including purchased components, parts, raw materials, and returned items—so they can be properly reviewed and resolved. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to keep things moving efficiently, balance priorities, and help drive timely resolution of NC material concerns. Strong collaboration and organizational skills are key to success in this role.
Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Ashburn, VA office and does not offer remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate MRB Processes: Track and manage all MRB materials, ensuring accurate and timely processing and disposition, both physically and within the ERP system.
- Document: Create and maintain non-conforming material records (MRR’s), ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate: Work with internal teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality, to resolve material issues.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy of MRB materials and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Report: Generate and analyze MRB reports. Monitor and report out on MRB process metrics.
- Compliance: Ensure all MRB activities comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Incoming Inspection: Oversee the incoming inspection process to identify non-conforming parts and materials from the vendor.
- Source of Non-Conforming Parts: Manage non-conforming parts and materials found during incoming inspection, manufacturing and assembly, or during Quality Control and Test.
