About the role
The Network Engineer will have responsibilities such as monitoring and analyzing network performance, installing and maintaining network equipment, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with vendors, maintaining documentation, ensuring network security, supporting disaster recovery, and providing advanced support.
Please note: This is a 2nd Shift - 6pm - 4am – Four 10's.
***This role is required to be onsite at our Casa Grande, AZ facility.***
You Will:
- Monitor and analyze network performance, ensuring up time, reliability, and speed.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Identify and troubleshoot network problems, providing rapid resolutions and root cause analysis.
- Work with vendors and service providers to implement upgrades and new technologies.
- Maintain and update network documentation such as diagrams, inventories, and configurations.
- Ensure network security by implementing policies, monitoring access, and performing vulnerability assessments.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution related to network infrastructure.
Provide second- or third-level support for escalated network-related issues. - Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements.
You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- 2-4 years experience in IT and IT Network Infrastructure.
- Proven hands-on experience in network administration and engineering.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Expertise in network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and DNS/DHCP.
- Experience with network security best practices and technologies, including firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco DNAC).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Grafana).
- Experience with scripting and automation is a plus (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
