We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer III with deep experience building and scaling SaaS platforms in distributed cloud. This role requires a hands-on development experience with strong technical knowledge of networking fundamentals, microservice architecture, and deliver complex, distributed systems while working with team members and driving cross-functional alignment.
You’ll lead design and development of scalable microservices, define engineering best practices, and help shape the future of our SaaS platform Data Plane components. This is a highly influential role focused on delivering performant, secure, resilient and reliable solutions that aligns with business objective.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain applications using Golang/C++, emphasizing scalability and high availability in distributed cloud environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Implement/enhance unit test infrastructure to increase test coverage progressively to deliver high quality software considering boundary and rainy day scenario.
- Drive design reviews and partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with product strategy.
- Lead development of scalable, enterprise-grade data-plane components and APIs.
- Take ownership of software components, ensuring the delivery of complete solutions that meet functional, scalability, performance, and manageable requirements.
- Influence cross-team technical direction and ensure alignment with scalability, security, and observability best practices.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in C++/Golang, with a strong track record of contributing to complex software development projects.
- Proven hands-on experience in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab, CI/CD)
- Strong understanding of OSI layer networking stack, NAT, DHCP, DNS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6
- Good memory and CPU profiling understanding and drives independently optimisation or refactoring the existing code
- Good Linux system concepts like file management, namespace, process management and memory management.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills with a track record of owning mission-critical systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and influencing technical direction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of L3/L4/L7 networking, data-path packet processing software engineering experience in cloud-native environments
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
