Job Description

Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! Running a large, fast-growing, and high-performing network of public charter schools takes a village - families, children, teachers, staff and faculty, advocates, and supporters alike. We are growing fast in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community! We work tirelessly every day to ensure children have access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.

This role follows a hybrid model, based out of our New York City office with three days on-site and two days of remote flexibility.

As a Talent Operations Systems Manager, you will be the architect and steward of our talent acquisition ecosystem. You aren’t just managing a tool; you are ensuring that our people, processes, and technology work in perfect harmony. You will act as the strategic bridge between Talent Acquisition, People Technology, HR, and IT to ensure our global hiring machine is efficient, scalable, and data-driven.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a candidate who enjoys solving complex puzzles, streamlining workflows, and building deep cross-functional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Process Optimization

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between Talent Acquisition, People Technology (Workday), HR, and IT to align hiring goals with technical capabilities.
  • Workflow Design: Continuously evaluate the recruiter and candidate experience, identifying friction points and designing streamlined processes to solve them.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the "connective tissue" projects that ensure our TA tech stack—including Greenhouse, Gem, GoodTime, and BrightHire—functions as a unified platform.

Systems & Ecosystem Management

  • Platform Governance: Oversee the health of our ATS and surrounding tools, ensuring they are optimized for the team's evolving needs.
  • Vendor Strategy: Manage relationships with key technology partners, ensuring we are maximizing our ROI and staying ahead of new feature releases.
  • Security & Data Integrity: Partner with IT and Legal to maintain a secure technical landscape, managing permissions and ensuring data flows accurately between HRIS and TA systems.

Project Leadership & Documentation

  • Change Management: Lead the rollout of new tools or process updates, including training and the creation of internal SOPs to ensure team-wide adoption.
  • Systems Mapping: Document our operational "blueprints," visualizing how data moves across the hiring lifecycle to ensure transparency and easier troubleshooting.
  • Incident Response: Act as the first line of defense for operational bottlenecks, translating technical issues into clear business impact updates for leadership.

Qualifications

  • Operational Experience: 3+ years in Talent Acquisition Operations or Recruiting Coordination, with a proven track record of improving hiring efficiency.
  • ATS Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Greenhouse (or similar enterprise ATS); you understand how to configure the tool to solve business problems, not just enter data.
  • System Implementation: Track record of managing at least one full TA technology implementation from start to finish.
  • Cross-Functional Fluency: Experience working closely with HRIS teams (ideally Workday) to manage the handoff from "Candidate" to "Employee."
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex timelines—you know how to move a project from a "good idea" to a "successful launch."
  • Communication Style: You can translate "
