As a key member of the Backend Development team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, documenting, installing, maintaining, and supporting applications that enable businesses to operate more efficiently and competitively.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Development: Leverage your Java expertise to play a fundamental role in the development of platforms and solutions.
- Agile Collaboration: Work effectively as a team member within an Agile development environment.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with team members, leads, and management, both verbally and in writing.
- Code Quality: Write programming code that meets agreed-upon requirements and is: 1) robust, 2) testable, 3) maintainable, and 4) well-documented/commented.
- Interface Standards: Produce UI designs and implementations that adhere to industry best practices.
- Security Compliance: Stay informed of and comply with Information Security controls and activities in alignment with defined corporate policies and strategies.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate potential issues with proposed designs and solutions.
- Delivery: Consistently meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Continuous Improvement: Flourish in a "continuous improvement" work culture.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Performance: Consistently meet or exceed established performance targets.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience with Java 7/8.
- Language: English proficiency is mandatory.
- Technical Design: Strong background in application design and analysis, design patterns, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Integrations: Experience with WebServices, REST APIs, and third-party API integrations (OAuth, social media, etc.).
- Modern Tech Stack: Experience with modern technologies, including:
- Cloud Environments: AWS (EC2), GCP, and/or Azure.
- Containers/Virtualization: Docker and Vagrant.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency in Git and/or BitBucket; experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional Background: Experience in consulting, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility, creativity, and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)

- Experience in CMS development.
- Experience with SpringBoot and the Spring framework/context.
